General Store-All Mini Storage

We had storage here for over 3 years and it was a great experience. The facility is clean, well lit and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Should storage be needed in the future, I will certainly look to General Store-All first. When initially looking at storage spaces, we were concerned by the hours of business they have vs. the 24-hour access of other, larger and more expensive facilities. The truth is, you never really NEED something RIGHT NOW that you require 24-hour access. Anything we needed to retrieve was easily scheduled around the hours they had without any issues. We brought the shelving in and got it all well organized. And that's one of the smaller spaces they offer. (To be clear, General does not offer any shelving, we brought that in.) The prices are reasonable and the facility is well-kept with appropriate pest control measures in place. A very no-frills, wood-compartment storage facility. Shelving needs to be done on your own and nothing can be fastened to the walls. Hours are limited regular daytime business-type hours, including on weekends. Without after-hours access without staff on site, this probably helps with security and keeps from having people physically occupying their lockers. CCTV cameras seem adequately sufficient to cover the space, and hopefully are also there to prevent inter-locker theft as some of the units have open tops. Everyone I interacted with leading up to signing a rental agreement and the week or two following were really nice. Except one time I arrived at 4:52 (closing time is 5:00) on April 7, 2024, I came to run enough items I could carry in my hands to my locker to drop and go. I was out of there by 4:55. The moment I exited my car the staff member on strength at the time ran out of the sliding doors and said in a rather manic tone, “you better make it quick, I’m closing up in 5 minutes. I want to see you run, alright?”. If I was on a military course or being spoken to by my toxic father, I’d find this acceptable and par for the course. But I’m a customer; regardless of what negative experiences you may have previously had, the projection isn’t really appreciated. You could have simply denied me entry and I would have been fine with that, or otherwise reflect on what other communication styles might achieve the same desired outcomes without being condescending or making me feel like I’m being an inconvenience. I said “have a pleasant Sunday” on my way out and this was received and responded to positively. I just find it ironic that the customer is the one that has to employ his toolkit of tact and be nimble with de-escalation strategies, and not the other way around. I have received nothing but awesome service for a terrific price here and I shopped around long and hard for my unit. The staff whom I've continuously had the luck to deal with here has the smooth tone of a TV announcer and goes out of his way to provide excellent service, by example getting my stroller up the stairs so I can walk up with my 2 year old safely. Some of the cheaper units are on a mezzanine up a short flight of stairs but they also have a newly renovated section on the ground floor for a very slight price increase, but it's not that much of a difference. Had I been aware of the pricing for ground floor units available (I asked for what was cheapest, not most convenient) I might have just went for one of these. It was good to learn after the fact that they did not try to upsell me something I didn't need. Totally recommend!

Great staff, easy to work with! Very reasonably priced. Very clean facility. Jonathan was very helpful setting us up with a 4x10 unit on the ground floor. High ceilings enough to fit our king size mattress vertically and lots of boxes.

We have been a customer of this storage business for well over a decade! Always have had friendly, helpful staff. Services provided at a fair & reasonable price in the cleanest of facilities. Highly recommend them for your storage needs.
